Perform sampling, inspection and testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials and finished products. Carry out routine physical, chemical and organoleptic analysis as per approved specifications and test methods. Perform testing of parameters such as appearance, colour, odour, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, moisture/LOD, disintegration, weight variation, etc., wherever applicable. Maintain and verify QC specifications, test methods, analytical records and laboratory registers. Prepare and maintain COA (Certificate of Analysis) and other quality-control documents. Review analytical results and identify Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT) and deviations. Ensure proper documentation and data recording as per GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Maintain and monitor laboratory instruments and equipment, including calibration and daily usage/cleaning records. Ensure availability and proper handling of reference standards, working standards, reagents and chemicals. Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D and Stores for quality-related activities. Assist in stability studies and maintain stability-related records. Support investigation of quality complaints, deviations, OOS/OOT and product-related issues. Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and GLP practices within the QC laboratory. Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections and customer audits as required. Ensure compliance with applicable Ayurvedic, Nutraceutical/Food and Cosmetic quality requirements and GMP practices. Assist in development, review and implementation of SOPs, specifications, formats and laboratory procedures. Perform any other QC-related activities assigned by the QC/QA Head.
