Key Responsibilities: Lead the complete product design lifecycle for plastic components and assemblies, from concept to mass production, specifically for RAAMESHTH ELECTRO PLASTA PVT LTD's diverse product range. Develop detailed 3D CAD models and precise 2D technical drawings, ensuring adherence to industrial standards and manufacturing specifications for plastic products. Drive design optimization initiatives, focusing on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) to enhance production efficiency in our Surat-based manufacturing facility. Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to integrate design solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality objectives within our plastic manufacturing environment. Conduct design reviews, analyze product performance, and implement engineering changes to improve existing plastic products and processes. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the Design department. Support prototyping, tooling development, and first article inspection activities, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into physical plastic products. Essential Requirements: Minimum 10 years and maximum 21 years of experience required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on plastic product design. Expert proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) for creating complex 3D models and assemblies of plastic components. In-depth knowledge of various plastic materials (e.g., PP, PE, PVC, ABS, PC) and their properties, processing methods such as injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion, crucial for RAAMESHTH ELECTRO PLASTA PVT LTD. Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the plastic industry, with a solid understanding of industrial operations and production challenges in Surat, Gujarat. Proven ability to troubleshoot design-related issues on the production floor and implement practical, effective solutions for plastic components. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in our 51-100 employee company.
