Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) at Dev Industries' Vijapur, Gujarat plant, ensuring rigorous adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards and driving continuous improvement across all casting and foundry operations. Develop, implement, and monitor robust quality control processes throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming raw material inspection (e.g., ferrous and non-ferrous metals) to in-process checks and final product verification of complex cast components produced by our 51-100 employee team. Drive significant defect reduction initiatives by conducting thorough root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities, and minimizing scrap within the industrial manufacturing environment. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of quality inspectors and engineers, fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and excellence in alignment with Dev Industries' commitment to high-quality output. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to seamlessly integrate quality standards, ensuring our products consistently meet stringent customer specifications and industry requirements for castings. Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports and key metrics to senior management, highlighting trends, achievements, and strategic areas for improvement within our Gujarat-based facility. Spearhead customer and supplier quality assurance activities, serving as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues and fostering strong partnerships to enhance overall product quality. Essential Requirements: Minimum 7 years and maximum 15 years of experience required. Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field from a recognized university. Demonstrated experience in a Quality Manager or similar senior quality role within the Casting & Foundry industry, preferably in a small to medium-sized manufacturing setup like Dev Industries (51-100 employees). In-depth knowledge and practical application of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001:2015 principles and relevant industrial quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA). Proficiency in various inspection and testing methodologies applicable to castings, such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), dimensional inspection, material chemistry analysis, and mechanical property testing. Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of effectively managing, motivating, and developing quality teams in a dynamic industrial environment in India. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical acumen, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies) within a high-volume production plant. Willingness to reside in or relocate to Vijapur, Gujarat, to ensure hands-on oversight of daily quality operations and seamless integration with the local team.
