Product Design: Develop innovative mechanical components and systems from concept through to detailed design, utilizing 3D/2D CAD tools. Engineering Analysis: Perform stress analysis, thermal evaluations, and tolerance stack-ups using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and performance. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Optimize geometries for various manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC /vmc /leath / vtl /boring machining, casting) to reduce production costs. Prototyping & Testing: Build physical or virtual prototypes, outline test methods, and analyze data to troubleshoot and resolve design flaws. Documentation & BOM Management: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and 2D drawings with GD&T. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with sourcing, procurement, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure the final product is feasible and cost-effective. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline). Software: Proven proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA) and analytical tools (FEA/CFD). Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of material properties (metals, plastics) and common manufacturing tolerances. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to bridge the gap between engineering theory and practical design solutions
